The camps will run Monday-Thursday from 8:30-11:00 am. The first few minutes of camp will be used to go over water safety and surfing technique skills. The majority of the time will be spent in the water surfing, MOST kids stand up on the first day of camp even if they have no surfing experience.
Kids do not have to be expert swimmers for the camp,but it does help if they are used to the water. If your child is not comfortable with the ocean, surf camp may not be best for them or you may have them take swimming lessons before they attend camp.
*We ask that parents DO NOT stay for the camp. We found that kids do much better without an audience. The LAST day of camp would be the best time to stay and watch or take pictures. *
